Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information BunkPoint (“BunkPoint”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use bunkpoint.com, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
The short version
- You can use our study guides and mock tests without an account. We do not ask for your name, email or phone number to practise.
- Your answers, results and preferences stay in your browser, not on our servers.
- We use Google Analytics only if you allow it. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- We never sell your data.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us or use our contact details, we receive your email address, your name if you share it, and your message. We use it only to reply and to fix what you reported.
Payment information. When you buy a Practice PDF, payment is processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Razorpay collects your card or other payment details directly. We do not receive or store them. We only receive confirmation that your payment was completed. We also receive the email address you give at checkout. We use it to send your receipt and download link (through our email provider, Resend) and to answer support requests about your order. We keep a record of each successful payment (payment ID, product, amount, email address and time) so that we can restore a download, process a refund and keep our accounts. If a receipt email fails to send, we keep it in a queue and retry until it is delivered. Proof of your purchase is also saved in your browser’s local storage so the PDF shows as bought on that device. Clearing your browser data removes it, and the emailed link brings it back.
Analytics data. If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to see which pages, tests and questions are used. This includes events such as starting or finishing a test and your score. It does not include your name or email. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
Free mock tests
You can take our free mock tests without creating an account.
What stays on your device. Your answers, detailed results and preferences are saved in your browser’s local storage. We do not receive them on our servers. If you clear your browser data or change device, they will not be available. You can delete saved results from the “My progress” page.
Whether you have closed or answered a feedback card is remembered only on your device.
Cookies and analytics
Essential storage. We use your browser’s storage to keep the website working: for example, saving your test progress, preferences and your cookie choice. These do not track you across websites.
Analytics (only with your permission). When you first visit, we ask whether we may use Google Analytics. Until you choose “Allow”, no analytics script is loaded. If you choose “Decline”, it is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy policy. Analytics data is kept in our Google Analytics account for the retention period set there, which we keep as short as is useful for improving the tests.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- reply to your messages and support requests,
- deliver and support paid products, and keep payment records as the law requires,
- understand which guides and tests are used and how difficult they are, and
- find and fix mistakes, and improve the website.
How long we keep it
- Your emails to us: for up to 12 months after your query is closed, unless the law requires longer.
- Payment records: for as long as needed to support refunds and to keep our accounts as the law requires.
- Anonymous test records and analytics data: in anonymous or aggregate form, for as long as they help us improve the tests.
- Data in your browser: until you delete it.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We use these service providers, each under its own privacy policy: Google Analytics (analytics, only with your permission), Telegram (updates), and, Razorpay (payments) and Resend (receipt emails). Some of these providers may process data outside India. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to analytics at any time (use “Cookie settings” in the footer). Write to team@bunkpoint.com with the subject “Privacy request” and we will reply within 7 days. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may approach the authority the law provides for.
Children
BunkPoint is meant for exam aspirants. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you are a parent or guardian and think your child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
